Certified Personal Trainer
About the Position
We are seeking a Certified Personal Trainer to join our growing team at River City Performance Therapy in Richmond, VA. We are an orthopedic physical therapy practice expanding into an integrative health & wellness clinic designed to bridge the gap between traditional healthcare and performance-based wellness. Our mission is to provide comprehensive care that supports clients across the continuum - from injury recovery and prevention to strength development and performance enhancement.
In this role, you will:
Design and deliver personalized training programs for clients of varying abilities, tailored to their goals, whether functional fitness, performance enhancement, or long-term health and longevity
Assess client movement, strength, and mobility to develop safe and effective programs
Provide guidance and coaching on proper exercise technique, movement quality, and progression
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, registered dietitians, and massage therapists, to support client outcomes
Work with motivated clients who prioritize their health, fitness, and long-term wellness
Autonomously manage your schedule while maintaining client engagement and session consistency

Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a trainer who thrives in a functional fitness environment and is passionate about helping clients move, recover, and perform at their best.
Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or similar education/experience; other applicable certifications are welcome
1+ years of personal training experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of movement, mobility, and strength development
Comfortable coaching clients of all backgrounds, including those recovering from injuries, managing health concerns, and at varying stages of life
Able to collaborate effectively with physical therapists, registered dietitians, and other healthcare professionals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable
Evening availability required

Licensed Massage Therapist
About the Position
We are seeking a licensed massage therapist to join our growing team at River City Performance Therapy in Richmond, VA. We are currently a physical therapy practice in the process of expanding into an integrated healthcare center designed to bridge the gap between traditional care and performance-based wellness. Our mission is to provide comprehensive care that supports patients across the continuum - from injury recovery to prevention, chronic condition management, strength, and performance.
In this role, you will:
Provide therapeutic massage with an emphasis on sports and orthopedic techniques tailored to active individuals and athletes
Assess recovery needs specific to performance-oriented clients
Utilize techniques such as deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and/or assisted stretching
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, registered dietitians, and personal trainers to deliver holistic, integrated care
Integrate massage therapy into broader treatment plans, working alongside other healthcare professionals to support patient goals
Work with clients who genuinely care about their health - motivated individuals with active lifestyles and athletes who are consistent and engaged in their wellness

Pelvic Health Physical Therapist
We are seeking a pelvic health physical therapist to join our growing team at River City Performance Therapy in Richmond, VA. This role is intended as a full-time position, starting part-time while the patient caseload ramps up.
About the Position
In this role, you will:
Evaluate and treat a wide range of pelvic health conditions, including prenatal and postpartum care, pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, etc.
Design personalized care plans using strong clinical reasoning, aligned with patient goals
Educate patients on pelvic health, movement, and recovery strategies
Provide compassionate care to a diverse and engaged patient population, with the majority being individuals with active lifestyles and athletes
